Is that impressive or unusual for a new grad ICU nurse to get a Daisy Award and CCRN certification by year #1?

I don't consider the daisy award to be indicative of a nurse's ability or competence to practice nursing as patients/families are the ones nominating nurses and the public rarely understands the role of nursing in their care.
CCRN has a 79% first-time pass rate, it is a challenging exam, but if well prepared it is do-able. I passed CCRN my first year in critical care, the expectation in my ICU is that nurses will attain CCRN within 2 years of starting.
My general advice is if you are proud of your accomplishments, don't worry about what other people think.
Best of luck in your career!
