Guys, does anyone know when graduates usually receive their GN permits in Texas. I graduated May 14th, and I'm waiting for my ATT. Does the board send out GN permits B4 you take the NCLEX, or do you have to take it first in order to receive the GN permit. I'm confused.

Hey we're in the same boat. I graduated May 15 in Texas. I heard about a month but personally i think that long because the ATT usually come in a month too.

Usually, GN permits are given after you graduate but before you take the NCLEX--they allow you to work as a nurse while you're waiting to take the test. Keep in mind that if you fail the NCLEX, in most states you can't work as a GN anymore.
