I've recently starting applying for my first CNA jobs and I was just looking for some advice on where the best places for me to start would be. Ultimately I'd like to work in geriatric psych, right now I am attending college as a psychology major and I'm hoping to get into a direct entry masters nursing program after I graduate. If anyone has experience working in geriatric psych and could share with me how they came to get their job and what not I'd really appreciate it!

If you are wanting to work in geriatric psychology later on, geriatrics would be a great place to start.
Apply to some nursing homes in your area.
There is also the option to work at an in-patient psychiatric facility (if there are any in your area).
Either one would be a good experience for you.

wow someone like me! i am a psychology major too! but im going into marriage and family therapy. so im getting my feet wet in the healthcare field. (havent started classes yet but i will in september) i think you are on the right track! :)
thank you guys so much! i really just needed someone else's opinion because sometimes when you're in a situation you may become blind to certain parts of it, you know?
i have applied to a nursing home in my town and actually just had an interview there. they seemed very excited and our conversations ended along the line that when they received my criminal background check back they would call me to set up an orientation. its a wonderful facility and they have one lock down wing with people who suffer from alzheimers and similar conditions.
