Finding funding for nurse owned start up companies

Hi,

Have any nurse entrepreneurs here started their business after receiving funding? Does anyone know if there are any business/associations/agencies/angels that look to provide funding to nurse-owned businesses?

I second S.C.O.R.E and SBA. They also have business plan seminars

and you can ask for a S.C.O.R.E person to help you individually. They are a wonderful mentor and will help you identify problems that you may not have considered...

Thanks - both are now on my to-do list (getting to be a long list....)

Given the nature of my business model, I'm also looking at grants to fund research on my the benefits of my curriculum - it would pay me to present and hopefully establish benefits scientifically - i.e. fodder for advertizing
