My school didn't tell me, but then, my classes don't start until September. I'm thinking of giving them a call, 'though, just to see if everything is OK.
If it's been more than 6 weeks, just give them a call in the morning. They must have ways around this kind of stuff. Kind of hard to plan when you don't know how much you're going to get, huh?
When I started at a different school a few years ago, they still hadn't made all the award decisions before classes started. I had to go ahead and pay for my books (charged them), but my tuition payments were deferred until they made their decisions. I'm ineligible for grants r/t previous degree, and my EFC is much higher than yours, and I still got awarded loans above and beyond the cost of tuition and books. You shouldn't have to worry about tuition, and maybe not books either. Good luck!

how long after you submit all items to the college will you find out how much financial aid you will be receiving.
when i filled out the fafsa it told me out estimated family contribution is 999$ for the year so i am assuming the rest will be in grants and such but i was just wondering how long it takes to find out.
i start orientation at the school on august 13th and thats only 2 weeks from now so i am hoping they will know something by then because they register us for classes on august 13th during orientation
