Good (early) morning....
NRSG 150/155 at HFCC is split into two 8wk. sections, each being 5 credits. Being that I need 6 credits to receive my financial aid/refund, will this set-up have any effect on my aid payout? Has this been a problem for anyone else?
I'm also wondering if I should just sign up for another course just to play it safe. I'd take the supplement class, but I can't meet at the available times. So I'd probably just sign up for an online course.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
Chandra
P.S.
Waiting to hear back from the finaid office regarding this.

You'll be able to register and take your classes, but you won't get that little bit extra check until the 2nd half of the semester. At least that's how it was with me last year.
Thank you for clearing that up!
So then I'll resort to plan B and just sign up for an online class to speed up the delievery of the refund...a necessitiy, as I'm only working part-time through school. blah.
On that note, any suggestions? Medical terminology? There was a 2 credit online course calleld Lifetime Wellness? Anyone familiar with that?

I would strongly recommend you not take any courses outside of nursing. It's going to get harder and more intense...trust me! I'm in my second year at HFCC and taking non-nursing courses is curriculum suicide. I understand you want to speed up financial aid but don't set yourself up. I'm not saying that it can't be done nor am I downplaying your talents. I'm just warning not to under estimate this program. You are now going to start learning at a much faster pace, coursework is going to get more complicated, exams are going to be more challenging/difficult and more is going to be expected of you in clinicals.
If you need an extra credit to speed up fin aid, sign up for the nsg supplemental. It's one credit (for both 150/155). I'm not sure if it could speed up your fin aid refund, but it's conducive to further understanding the material and advancing to the next level.
Good luck!

Thank you everyone for the input!
The supplement class was my first choice, but I started questioning it when I saw the day/time it was offered. Cuts into work hours.
I'm going to reconsider though!
Thanks again,
