The Rumor mill is producing ideas that the classes of 2009 - - - and possibly 2010 are already filling/full. Any truth to this?

Broad question... can you clarify? What school? You're in a CRNA forum, are you talking about CRNA programs? If the program has a fall 2008 start, they've probably selected their class by now. But starting in fall 2010? I doubt it.

our program is taking applications for the class starting 2011. we are full for 2008, 2009 and 2010. if you have specific questions, i'd be happy to discuss them with you and offer any helpful advice i can

that is only one school in the philadelphia area, there are many others. And yes I have heard that, that school does fill up quick and they usually want you to apply a year or two ahead. why, I dont know, I know it is one of the cheaper (as in $$$$$) if not the cheapest school in the area. but also , it just may be how they fill their classes, they do for a year or two in advance, possibly.

however, with that being said, I know for a fact that not all the schools in the philly area (which tornetta school of anesthesia is) are filled for 2009 and 2010.

call some programs in the area, many schools in that area.

If it were me, I'd cast a wider net, rather than wait that long.... There are schools that would let you get started sooner, do you really want to wait that long??

why are you referring to a "rumor mill," when in fact a specific school sent you detailed information about their program? are you really asking an online forum to validate information that an anesthesia school provided you?

Whoa buddy, relax. No, I'm not asking that - read my posts, and you'll understand that. The phrase "rumor mills" tends to refer to casual talk amongst peers about any given subject. In my second post, I confirmed that rumor from at least one school, and someone was gracious enough to provide insight about other schools in the same area. Why are you so concerned about it? How would it be sensible for me to use a public forum to confirm what a private email from a director of anesthesia education sent me? I really got all I needed from this post, and after a rough night of work - your comment doesn't seem to have much purpose, esspcially when it seems you've not read all the posts.
