I've been scoping out this site for a while and have been researching what I would like to go to school for. I'd appreciate any help/ feedback/ suggestions.
I went to MCC out of high school in 2002 for liberal arts. I graduated with a GPA of olny 2.8. From there I went to Bridgewater State and graduated in December 2008 with a BA in Sociology with a 3.11 GPA. Now I'm married with 3 kids, ages 4, 2 and 3 months!
I have a few options that I am thinking of.
My first choice is the rad tech program at Massasoit. I need to take some pre-req's before applying, A&p1 and 2. I know the program is competitive. They only take 28 students out of about 200 applicants. I was wondering if any others have taken this program and have succeeded with young children? I'm anticipating a large amount of work! I was curious to find out the people who have been accepted, what their grades for the A&P classes were. Are you more likely to get in with a previous bachelor's?
Then I was looking at the Sonography program at BHCC, same question from above apply to this program as well, if anybody has any feedback.
Are these programs generally easier to get into than both of those college's nursing programs?
I was also looking into the LPN program at Blue Hills Technical in Canton. Has anybody been to this program and what is it like? I was wondering how hard it is to get into this program.
I have also heard that many places are phasing out LPN's. What are your thoughts on this?
