Feelings about VA va regular hospitals

Hello everyone,

i have been at regular hospital floating to different units multiple years and have been intrigued by our local VA reopening and wanted everyone's feelings about the VA. I've heard everything from the great retirement, awesome Vacation time, perceived perception of being labeled as a VA RN (both good and bad) but I feel change is necessary but wanted to hear everyone personal experiences. Also, can anyone elaborate on if they work 8/12 hrs shifts cause I've heard it varies. In terms of overtime, if you work an 8hr shift can you stay an additional couple of hours?
