Feeling down, need some encouragement!

Published

I just got my grade back from our 3rd (and final) regular exam of the semester. I need a 77 test average in order to pass the class, and the only grades we have now are the EVOLVE/HESI (worth 5% of total) and a cumulative final (worth 25%). My average is a 77.3 right now .. I did okay on the first two exams (80 and 82) but got a 70 on this last one. This is the worst I've ever done in a nursing class. Even MedSurg I which I struggled in, I managed to pull off a B.

I'm just feeling discouraged and hopeless, because I absolutely need a minimum of a 77 on the Hesi (which is in just about 2 weeks) and the final (in about 4). I've come SO FAR... after this semester, it's smooth sailing til graduation in May, and I just cannot even think about failing this class and having to repeat. I know I need to kick my butt into gear and study really hard for these things, but I'd just love to hear from anyone who's gone through this before. I've never struggled this bad to maintain a passing average until MedSurg2. :(

One test result does not mean failure. Think of it as an opportunity to focus on what you need to review and learn. Do not waste time worrying as that is energy better spent elsewhere. GOOD LUCK
