Feedback on PRN Job!!

I just wanted to throw this out to see what other nurses thought.

I work full-time as an RN at a hospital on the Med/Surg floor. I have been there for 3 years (1 1/2 as an LPN the rest as an RN) and I am ready to move on. I have tried to get a job in OB, there just are no full-time openings in any department at this hospital and I really would like to eventually move out of Iowa. I plan on traveling in the spring but would like to get some experience at another hospital before that. Here is the situation: I applied at a hospital 3 hrs away. I interviewed, was offered the job, went down to the occupational health interview, got my TB test and was told I could have someone read it after 11:30 on Friday and before 1130 on saturday and to fax down.(I worked 7a-7p on friday) I also asked them before I left if there was anything else I needed to do before I left because it is three hrs away, they said floor orientation was October 15,16 and 17 8-230. Thanks for telling me that because I have to work the 15 and 16 (nights at that and no one at this hospital will trade nights) So I emailed the supervisor on the floor I was going to be working on and I think he was going to get that straightened out, but I got a phone call friday at 2pm saying that since I didn't getthe TB test results faxed by noon I couldn't do general orientation Monday and Tuesday the 13 and 14 (I already found someone to work Tuesday for me) that i had to wait until Oct. 20-21(I work both days). I emailed the supervisor again and explained to him the situtation. I have not heard from him on that, but I cannot change dates or keep trading dates. This is for a PRN job.

Should I have tried to get someone to work for me or should they have tried to accomodate me? They knew I have a full-time job and my schedule was made out till Nov.8. It just is so frustrating!!!
