Bottom Line: This was the most valuable part of my test prep!

These practice exams helped me to know what content I needed to go back and review. They also helped me to know what to expect from the real exam.

Similarities to real ANCC Exam:

  • Content
  • Wording of the questions
  • Case Studies
  • Select all that apply

Differences from real ANCC Exam:

  • Select all that apply on the ANCC exam will tell you how many answers to select. For example, the question will say "Select 3 answers" etc. I lost a lot of points on my practice exams on the "select all that apply" questions. When you know how many answers to select, its so much easier. Thats a plus for test takers!
  • Pictures. There are photos on the ANCC of x-rays, patients, etc. They are pretty clear and straight forward. Know what the "classic presentation" of certain conditions will look like.
  • There are some questions with a drag and drop feature that is not on the familynpprep.com tests. Its kind of like a matching question, where you match a diagnosis with a presentation etc. If you know the content you will be fine
