Hi! My goal is to get into the Fall 2012 semester. I'm still completing pre-reqs at Collin college. About to start Micro and Basic Health Skills class this Fall 2011. I know its smart to apply to more than one school if possible, so I'm going to apply to El Centro as well as possibly Brookhaven. Only thing is Brookhaven's program requires an Intro to Chem class or General Chem prior to admission, which I have not had yet. Overall, would Micro and Intro to Chem be a good combo to take at the same time this Fall semester or would that just be nuts?! Has anyone ever been in this situation before? I'm thinking it would be ok, but I'm worried about how to coordinate study time with these 3 classes (lectures and labs put together ), and I work super part-time at Crocs at Stonebriar mall, which shouldn't be a big issue. Any advice on that? Just thought it'd be cool to get other info and opinions

Personally, I would not take two sciences + labs in one semester...that would be overkill. Try registering for a science per semester with a liberal arts course- something that won't require too much of your time. It's all about balance. In this complicated and oftentimes frustrating process of trying to attain any admission to nursing school, just be sure to make time for yourself. I wish I would have taken my own advice; now I'm paying the price. In due season, you will be exactly where you're supposed to be! Keep us posted on your progress. Good luck with your classes!
