ok i have 2 options for fall - anatomy or microbiology - i'm only taking one.
if i take anatomy it would involved paid childcare 1 day and family childcare another day - then pick up and i go to work - this class is a pre-req prior to applying to nursing program.
if i take micro it involves no childcare (hubby would watch) and i work different day but it is only a co-req and i'd still have to take anatomy the following semester.
i'm flipping back and forth do i bite the bullet and just deal with all the hassle now or do i wait and maybe the schedule will change for the following semester?

This may be different for your school but I know that Anatomy was way more harder than Micro so I would get the harder one over with first. That being said, will you be taking Physio also? Physio is the hardest (well it was for me anyway) so you would probably want to take that after Anatomy if not with it. Are your classes A&P or separate? But that of course is my ...your situation might be better for you without childcare costs, etc.
Good luck with whatever you decide!!

Anatomy and Physio are seperate...I had orignally planned on taking Anatomy this fall, Physio in the spring, then Micro the next fall but when I made that plan I had hoped that Anatomy would work with my son's school times and it's not so now I feel like I'm flipping a coin!
That is the exact order I took as well, except I took Physio and Micro together. I pulled off A's in both classes, don't know how I did it with working full time as well. But I don't have children yet. Sometimes flipping a coin is the best method but of course writing a list of pros/cons sometimes helps too. Whatever you choose, best of luck, I'm sure it will all work out, it always does! :redpinkhe

What is the policy of the school(s) you're trying to get into? At most of the schools around here, you cannot apply until all prerequisites are completed, though you can still have corequisites in progress. If your school is similar, delaying anatomy could set your application back a semester.
If it isn't going to effect when you can apply, go ahead and take whichever is going to be more convenient, as schedules often do change.

This year for the '09 application they changed A&P to pre-req instead of co-req and that actually put my application back a year to start 2010 so I should be good on that. I will complete all the pre-reqs & co-reqs before I even start the program and all the pre-reqs before I apply. Right now I'm leaning on taking Micro for fall because it fits soo nicely into my schedule but I need to make sure for definite that they will have Anatomy in the spring because I know some schools only offer it in the fall and the Pysio in the spring. I need to know that first because registration is 4/19 and those classes are filled within hours.

At my school, A&P I and II is pre-reqs for Micro. I would think that there is a reason for this. Maybe Micro is easier after taking A&P I and II. Just a thought!
Good point! Thanks! My chem teacher also suggested tonite that I should probably just try to get into Anatomy this semester because it fills soo quickly I may not be able to next semester. And since I need to take Anatomy before Physio....I thought that was a good point too.
