HI there! I passed my second attempt in July and am now certified. While I used all the previously mentioned study guides, practice questions, live reviews, what helped me this time was the Silbert-Flagg purple book. I had it, but did not read through it, I instead focused on my Barkley review book and practice questions from all sites. Once I sat and truly read cover to back about three times, I really felt prepared. I sat for my exam and felt confident as I was getting questions where I could literally pinpoint the answers in the book. Everybody is different, but that is what helped me the most. Practice questions are great to get familiar with them and how they come at you, but not if you're expecting for them to be similar or on the actual exam. First attempt in March, second in July. Best of luck!

I have taken the pediatric primary care NP exam twice and would love some study tips from other in my situation. I have major test anxiety, which has been a huge detriment to me! Here are the things I have done to study for my first 2 attempts:
NAPNAP & Barkley review courses
make notes & flash cards
PNCB test questions
board vitals test questions
pediatric primary care review book
My guess would be perhaps doing too many different things / making too many notes / flash cards that I overwhelmed myself. I also have realized that I do not retain information well by just reading
Thank you for reading my post and for any advice you may have to offer me! I am also considering taking a break from studying for the primary care exam and focusing on the acute care exam with the goal of taking that in December as I am unable to reapply for taking my primary care exam until the end of November
