Failed NCLEX twice so far. Really could use some support.

I am studying for my 3rd attempt but I don't have a date set due to financial reasons and I feel like there is no end in sight. I really need to find someone to study with, either a group or a partner. I am also open to a tutor. I live in NH and MA. If anyone is in that area and would like to study together it would help tremendously. I took Kaplan twice and even though i basically got to the point where I memorized the answers, it did not help me at all on the NCLEX. Right now I am using Saunders and NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy.

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Have u tried Hurst...and do u go over the rationales? You need to understand them and see why you got them wrong. PDA form lacharity is really good too. I know it's discouraging, but you have to move on and don't give up.

Is Hurst a book or a course? And what is Lacharity?

I do go over the rationales. Even if I am right. That definitely helps!

Thanks for your kind words and support. It does mean a lot and helps boost my confidence knowing that whether you pass or fail we all know the torture of studying and waiting for those results!

What part of the country are you in?

Hurst is a course and it's wonderful for content! I just took the nclex Monday and passed! Thank God!! And PDA is a book Prioritization, Delegation, and Assessment..LaCharity is the author. It's great for the priority questions.

Where do u feel ur weak spots are? I'm from New York. And prayer always helps!!!

Try Hursts!!! It's great. I failed the first time. I was so down about it. I know your pain!!! I also did Kaplan, and like you it didn't work for me either. Kaplan is great practice for people who are very good with content. I'm preparing for my 2nd attempt. I'm using Hursts...and so far I really like it! Try focusing on content and less questions this time. That may help. I'm also taking a course called "ready to pass". It's focus is content. I'm not sure if they have that course available in your area but again, content is probably where you need to focus. Kaplan actually gave me my money back :). Don't be hard on yourself! Spend your energy formulating a new study plan :)! Hope this helps!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! ;)
