Experience for Air Force Reserve Flight Nursing?

Hi everyone, yes I've posted about Air Force flight nursing before, but this time my question is specific to the experience that is required to get a spot as a flight nurse in the reserve. I'm still currently a nursing student with about a year and a half do go until graduation...if I go in the reserve rather than active duty then I would want my civilian nursing career to be in the NICU. If I happen to get a NICU job right after graduation would this hurt my chances of getting a reserve flight nurse spot once I have 6 months of experience? Does it even matter what specialty you come from just as long as you have some experience? I appreciate any information you all can provide!
