Expedite APN license in IL

Hi, I am looking to gain some insight if anyone has tried driving to Springfield to try and expedite getting their advanced practice license in IL? I applied on 9/11 and it has been 7 weeks. When I called they said it is taking 8-12 weeks. In the past I heard of people being successful but this was pre covid. I appreciate your help and advice!
