I have read through quite a few posts about malpractice insurance with very good arguments on both sides. I saw very few actual examples to go along with the arguments, so I was wondering if anyone here would care to share anecdotes.
For instance, I read several times that personal insurance should be purchased because the hospital will leave the nurse twisting in the wind; I also read that it shouldn't be purchased because then the nurse is more likely to be sued. Has anyone had this happen to them or know of a case where this has occurred?
I'm not trying to stir up debate, I was just wondering if anyone had any specific examples of why/why not to have insurance.
Thanks!
