No kidding. I know very few nurses in Oklahoma that make even the minimum annual salary ($44,000/year) mentioned in this article, almost all of whom are administrative and corporate nurses (DONs and such).

LTB: Sign that reads "Will work for $144,000/year."

Will pay in cash.

I just have one thing to say to that...................Ha!!

I thought the same thing! Since when do ER nurses make more than CRNAs and DONs!?!?!? I think yahoo news needs a new fact checker or I need a major raise!!!

But it's the INTERNET so it must be true!

I'm sure there are a FEW that do make that amount with OT. The city of Saskatoon SK Canada releases the $$ figures of their city workers. last year a city bus driver made over $100,000, lots of OT

It is certainly what the OUGHT to be making.

**** skippy!

cheers,

I'm sure an ER nurse working agency/contract in downtown San Francisco working overtime can make that. Not very accurate for the rest of us.

Makes me think of nursing school...where they told us that as new LPN grads we'd be making over $15/hr to start. Try $11. Wish I would have had that in writing...people actually got a lawsuit together against the school I went to b/c of false advertising in other programs where they made similar claims.

I'm sure that there are many high school teachers out there shocked by the $46K figure as well. Wonder just where exactly those numbers came from?

How to solve the nursing crisis? By sorely misleading the public...
