Endorsement question in TX: Confused as hell! I need help...

Published

I am from PA and a license PA RN nurse, I want to get my RN license endorse here in Texas.

Right now, I'm in Houston and planned to stay here for 2 months with my aunt to look for a job and get my TX endorsement, doing it right now but confused as hell.

I've my valid TX state ID, TX mailing address, but not a TX driver license though.

because if it does not work out I planned to go back to PA and travel between TX and PA. And I want 2 RN license, one here in TX and keep my old PA RN too.

Here is my question: On the compact state primary declaration of residence, should I put PA or TX?

Should I also put 2 mailing address? One in PA and here TX, or just TX because I will be here for 2 months... Keep in mind, I've 2 state ID PA and TX. And i'm afraid they mailed my stuff to all over the place...???

Since I'm in Houston, TX right now, will I be eligible to schedule a live fingerprint scan since I lived only 5 minutes away from one?

Or do I need one of them finger scan thing and go to like a police station for them to do it? What a dilemma

Please help! Thanks!

email the texas board of nursing. they reply in about 2 days. I believe u can get fingerprinted in texas if you are there. just make sure u have the fingerprint paperwork with the ORI number so that u can make an appointment. for the compact primary residence part they told me to put the state i currently live in when i called. u do not need a texas license to fill out the endorsement application i believe it states to type in nine 9's if u dont have one. the email is on the website. or just give them a call. they were helpful. hope this helps.

So primary residence: Pennsylvania

Mailing Address: Houston, TX & Pennsylvania too??? Yes

I think it either the state TX ID or driver license: I might put my TX state ID#?
