Hello. Just joined Allnurses site and am looking forward to "picking the brains" of all of you!!! Experience is a great teacher and I'm hoping that I can learn a lot from those of you who have any experience in Nursing.
I am just starting out (beginning my CNA program) and then hopefully on to LPN in August, but I have a question for someone else, and was hoping someone might be able to answer it.
In Florida, can a nationally certified EMT (was originally certified in Florida) challenge the CNA exam without having to take any CNA classes?
Thanks for your help and I'm looking forward to reading up on the "Wonderful World of Nursing".

Effective 1/1/2008, anyone can challenge the CNA exam in FL
I appreciate the quick response, "Mom".
Now after I complete my CNA classes, and find out where the test is being offered, I can pass that information along to her.
Thanks again.
