EMT to RN

How do I transition from an EMT to an RN??

Featured Replies

I don't think there's such thing as an EMT to RN transition program. I know 2 EMTs who are in my nursing school, and they just went straight into the RN program.

let me caution you NOT to think of nursing like an extended EMS program. As an instructor I can tell you many EMS students have trouble in nursing school because they want to relate everything to how it is done in the field. That is not how nurses work. Just be glad you have some great skills and learn the nursing process even though it may not make sense to you in the beginning. Good Luck!
