Employment Training Institute... has anyone heard or studies at this school?

Published

I am currently considering this intitute for furthering my skills. I was wondering if anyone in the San Diego area has heard of, know someone who's taken classes there, or has taken classes themselves at this college. The school is called Emplyment Training Institute. I've spoken with the program director (through phone and email), the tution is low cost and very accessible ( $3,000+ for a Certified Medical Assitant program) but something just doesn't feel right about this school. Here's why;

The program is only 20 weeks long, and class only meets once a week, on Saturdays for 7 hours.

There are segments to the course, one would have to go through the med assis, program... and then (optional) go through EKG, and Phlebotomy course (at extra charge)

Can anyone who is familiar with how Medical assitant programs should and should not be implemented be of help and post some advice.

Hi, my medical assistant school was 9 months long and classes were 4 days per wk 830 to 200. Ekg and phlebotomy was already a part of the program. The program cost was around 10,000 dollars which was too much. I never heard of the program you are referring too, although I am sure we from different states that have different programs available. Goodluck with your training :)

I'm in california, san Diego. Most schools that I have visited have MA programs running 8-9 months in length, and are full time (8-3pm,) and they are also just around $10,000.
