Emory March 2014 Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Residency

Published

Specializes in Emergency, ICU.

Hey, guys!! Has anyone else been contacted in regards to the first cohort of Emory's cardiac cath lab nurse residency? I interviewed on the 19th and was told that we should hear something over the next couple of weeks. I'm definitely honored to even be considered for this position considering that they don't accept new grads into this specialty. Please share your experience!!

Hey snbell,

Congrats on your interview!!! I have an interview next week and I'm nervous. What campus did you interview for Midtown or Clifton?

I interviewed at the Midtown location. It was a panel interview but very relaxed. However, I've been on a few panel interviews during this job hunt, so I may just be comfortable by now. lol

I know right!! I'm interviewing at midtown too, have you heard anything back yet? What sort of questions did they ask, besides the usual behavioral questions?

@snbell-- I was also offered a position at the Midtown location (in the ED). I have a bunch of friends who will be working with Emory Healthcare, and while some people have been scheduled for health assessments (this upcoming week), no one I know from Midtown has been scheduled for this yet. I have filled out some online paperwork for a background check and references, but that's about it. I know that a bunch of people are starting on the 10th, but when I emailed the recruiter, he informed me that the ED was starting at a later date. That may be the same for you and/or the Midtown campus in general. If you have any questions, I would e-mail the recruiter. He is extremely nice and got back to me right away.

@Rachel1987...I interviewed (2/26) for the ED as well and was offered a position (2/28). I've just completed the background check and references as well. It was for the EUH location. I emailed the recruiter for a decision because I had another job on the line. I'm guessing that either I didn't get the cardiac cath lab position or they won't make a decision until they've interviewed everyone to be fair. *shrugs* I was told that the ccl probably won't start until the end of the month...they didn't even know themselves when I asked.
