headaches-blurred-vision.jpg.21b10c5a856659359a1954334db9ba24.jpg

I wasn't feeling right over the past weekend with headaches and blurred vision in my left eye. I have had migraines before so figured "This too shall pass" but on Tuesday I woke with no vision in my left eye. I went to ER and was sent to an ocular specialist who diagnosed a detached retina and referred me for surgery which I had on Wednesday due to not being NPO on Tuesday. Right now, I am basically blind in my left eye and time will tell how much vision I get back. I'm off work while I recover from surgery.

Wishing you a quick recovery and healing. It must be hard to be prone all the time.

I am no longer prone ? That was just to apply some pressure to my retina but yes it was a pain!

Get well soon.

OMG, I'm glad you're okay.  I know you've heard this before, but next time don't you dare wait, Nurse tsk tsk tsk (sending virtual hugs)??

Believe me I have learned my lesson. Had my one week post-op appointment and retina repair is intact. Vision still sucks but that's the gas bubble in my eye. Once that goes away we will know more . Thanks for the warm thoughts.

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery! I'm sure the whole experience must have been very scary, glad you got the care you needed in time.

Do take it easy.  Praying for easy post op course and perfect healing for you.

Do you have help for getting food, doing laundry, etc.?

Sending hugs and well wishes. Speedy recovery

My husband and son (grown) have been very supportive and I was told I can drive cause according to California law you only need one good eye to drive  and my good eye is 20/20. Garden is full of yummy vegetals and fridge is full.
