I wasn't feeling right over the past weekend with headaches and blurred vision in my left eye. I have had migraines before so figured "This too shall pass" but on Tuesday I woke with no vision in my left eye. I went to ER and was sent to an ocular specialist who diagnosed a detached retina and referred me for surgery which I had on Wednesday due to not being NPO on Tuesday. Right now, I am basically blind in my left eye and time will tell how much vision I get back. I'm off work while I recover from surgery.

Thanks for the referral bu I am in California and do trust my surgeon
I can't stay on for long as They have me in a prone position to keep the retina in place as it heals but I get breaks to eat and bathroom etc....
Planes do fly to Philly.... wishing you rapid healing. Check in again when you can.. Will keep the light on for ya!
Thanks and will consider if things don't improve. Flying is out for me due to the disk of increase intraocular pressure that might cause my eye to rupture.
A train trip might be exciting adventure, would love to meet you in Philly..... sending healing thoughts.

That must be so hard, and all in addition to the anxiety about your vision. I wish I could hug you and make it all go away. I'm asking God to heal you.
