Elsevier's Student & Faculty Awards for Nursing Excellence invites faculty across U.S. campuses to nominate students with an outstanding commitment to the nursing profession and the potential to make a difference. Nursing students, in turn, are invited to nominate faculty who have served as role models, inspiring them to pursue a nursing career.

In March 2006, Elsevier will announce a National Grand Prize winner and 10 Regional First prize winners for both awards programs, yielding a grand total of 44 winners across five regions in the U.S. Awards will include thousands of dollars in cash prizes, a year of free textbooks, online subscriptions and charity donations.

"As the home of Saunders, Mosby, Churchill Livingstone, Butterworth-Heinemann, and Hanley & Belfus, Elsevier is strongly committed to supporting the next generation of striving healthcare professionals. Our mission is to profile and promote the critical role that nurses and doctors play in our communities across the U.S.," commented Brian Nairn, CEO of Elsevier's Health Sciences.

Nominations to Elsevier's Nursing Excellence awards can be made via http://nursingawards.elsevier.com until November 30th 2005.
