Hello--I am a nursing student in a Critical Care course and we are studying ECG strips. Are there any mneumonics or memory aids that are helpful in remembering the pattern and defining factors of each irregularity?

Not really. It would be much easier just to understand what an ECG is and what the different waves represent. Understanding the physiology behind what you are studying will make you not only a better test taker, but a better nurse and problem solver overall.

Try icufaqs.org. It is a free online resource but I ordered and paid for the book. This site is full of great information! Very down to earth and even funny at times. The author really has a way of explaining things. It is AWESOME!! Also, just google "practice EKG strips" and you will find a ton of resources. The more you practice the more you will remember. Hope this helps.
