Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS) was established in 1988 as a forum for nurse researchers to promote and support regional nursing research in the Northeastern United States.
18th Annual Scientific Sessions: Abstract Submission Guidelines for Paper or Poster Presentation
1. All abstracts must be no more than 300 words (excluding title, author names, and affiliations).
2. Abstracts may be submitted in one of four formats: (1) Traditional, (2) Qualitative, (3) Historical, and (4) Philosophy/Theory. Each format is designed to best fit the research type.
a. Traditional research format must include: (1) Purpose; (2) Theoretical Framework; (3) Methods (Design, Sample, Setting, Measures, Analysis); (4) Results; (5) Conclusions and Implications.
b. Qualitative research format must include: (1) Purpose; (2) Background; (3) Methods (Design, Participants, Setting, Data Collection, Analytic approach); (4) Results; (5) Conclusions and Implications.
c. Historical research format must include: (1) Purpose; (2) Background; (3) Methods (sources, analytic approach); (4) Results; (5) Conclusions and Implications.
d. Philosophy/Theory research format must include: (1) Purpose; (2) Background; (3) Approach; (4) Major Points & Rationale; (5) Conclusions.
The traditional format should be used if you are unsure of the format.
3. All abstracts must be submitted online no later than Monday, October 3, 2005, 12pm (noon).
4. Presenters will be notified of the decision of the Review Committee by November 30, 2005 and must confirm their participation by December 30, 2005.
