Eastern Kentucky University FNP

I am an EKU alumni (BSN, Dec 2003) and am currently in the US Navy as an RN. I have previously been in contact with EKU regarding their Rural Health FNP program and they are in my top 3 (I very much enjoyed my undergrad time there as a young man pursuing my BSN, living on campus and the outstanding level of personal and professional support I received throughout the program). I do have a few questions:

1) Is anyone currently in the program? What has your experience with the 100% online format been like and do you feel you are (or were)well prepared for boards? (When I was an undergrad there it was a brick-and-mortar based program so things have certainly changed, and my BSN program also had 100% pass rate and i had absolutely no problem passing my NCLEX-RN on first try)

2) For ANY FNP program in general, is 2 years too soon to begin the application process (I have 2 years left on active duty). I want to apply for Spring 2018. (yes, i know the University would be able to answer this more appropriately, but I'm also curious about other programs as well).

Thanks for any feedback :)
