Duplicate skills list in resume

Hi everyone,

I have been revising my resume lately as I am looking for a new job. I am still a new grad with only a few months of clinical experience. I did my preceptorship on the same unit as my clinical experience where I was hired, so the bullet point skill list is identical on my resume. How do I word my preceptorship and my actual job as a RN without having 2 identical bullet point areas on my resume? It takes up unnecessary space.

Example=(format is different of course)

Clinical Experience

Senior practicum at XXXX Hospital, Completed XXX hours.

Employment History

RN, XXXX Hospital (3 months). I don't list any skills here as it would be another duplicate and just putting the job under this category is repetition.

That's an example of part of my resume to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Does anyone have any ideas on how to word and list this differently?

New grads are encouraged to include skills lists on resumes primarily to fill space. Secondarily, they help clarify skills mastered by the candidate, since nursing education programs and clinical experiences vary widely.

Once a candidate has gained professional practice experience, student skills lists become irrelevant and should be deleted from the resume. Keep the basics of your education such as graduation date, name of program, degree, GPA, honors. But discussion of skills and clinical experience should focus on your professional practice at this point, not your student days.
