Hi there! I was hoping to see if there was anyone else on here that is applying the Duke PNA program? I just submitted my application a few days ago, and I can't help but be nervous about even though I probably wont hear back until April. I was hoping to see who else was going through the same thing.
And, is there anyone who can share some of their experiences with the program? I'm curious as to the experience was like. Did you get the specialty you wanted? Do you precept the same nurse whole time, or are you working alone as an NA for most of it? And most importantly did you enjoy it?
Sorry if this is in the wrong subforum, I've been reading on this site for a while, but this is my first time posting!

Hi! I applied to the program as well and I am looking forward to hearing back! I actually just called HR this morning to see when we should be hearing back and they told me that I will hear back either today or tomorrow!! I'm looking forward to hearing back and I really hope I got accepted!
Good luck to you, hopefully we both get in!
Thank you for replying! I've been meaning to call and ask when to expect to hear back but keep forgetting. I haven't heard anything back yet, but I'll keep my eyes posted now. Would we hear back for just one of the hospitals, or all three programs? Good luck to you too! Did you apply to just one of the hospitals, all of them, or some combo?
Yeah, I haven't heard anything yet either, I'm really hoping to hear soon! (esp. because they just told me we would hear by today...) And I'm not exactly sure...I think I just applied to one.
I hope so, otherwise I'll probably become I little more worried ahaha. I know someone who did the program last summer and she didn't hear back until April though, so I'm surprised they're already making some decisions. And the job submission status still says under review, so we'll see!
And if you only filled out one application you probably only applied to one hospital, I did two and have to filled out both separately.

I just received an email offering a position on the oncology floor this summer. I have already accepted a position with Cone on the oncology floor and am torn as to what to do. So many pros and cons for both. Good luck to both of y'all and let us know if you hear anything!
Congratulations! That would be a tough choice to make, I looked into Cone's program but was too late to apply for it. Good luck with your decision, let us know what you decide! I'm sure either would be a great experience.
Congratulations on getting accepted, and good luck making your decision!
Sadly, I still have not heard anything...
Have you, SandyScrubs??
Okay, Update: I called again today and the woman I spoke to told me that they are working on them right now and just sending out acceptance (or non-acceptance) letters (e-mails) as they decide them, so we can hear back anytime between now and April 15th
I haven't heard anything yet either. I'm happy to hear that! When I called the general HR number the woman I talked to couldn't give me specifics because she didn't know anything about the program, and only said that they would update the job submission status online if the job was closed or if we weren't being considered for it anymore. Hopefully we will hear back either way soon, I'll need to make plans for the summer if I don't get in!
I ended up just sticking with moses cone I also know a couple classmates that denied their offer as well so good luck!
