Any recommendations for dry, peeling feet? Biggest problem seems to be occurring on my right heel, mostly where the heel meets the arch. Biggest relief I get is with the "Miracle Heel Stick" (http://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Aloe-Ingredients-Applicator-Alternative/dp/B004R6OTI2), usually takes care of the cracked, peeling skin within 1-2 weeks. But the problems quickly comes back if I don't keep up with it. It's terrible in the wintertime when the air is dry. Minimal relief with foot soaks, Neosporin application, or any topical antifungals. Nothing present between the toes or anywhere else or on the other foot.
I am not a diabetic, I'm 27 years old and thankfully have no medical problems, no circulation issues, varicose veins or any of that. I eat healthy, try to stay hydrated (not always possible as much as I would like), and am physically active.
I should probably add that I am a nurse, work nights in the ED, usually wear Danskos or sneakers. Change my socks daily (sometimes more often). Danskos are my favorite because I can sit to chart & kick my shoes off under the desk discreetly and wiggle my feet around. At home I'm usually barefoot or clean cotton socks. Occasionally I sleep with socks on, usually because I've applied a generous dose of shea butter lotion or Miracle Heel Stick. I've also tried Working Hands (stings badly but it works), Vicks Vapor Rub, and Callex foot ointment.
I don't mind using the shea butter lotion or the Miracle Heel Stick but sometimes I forget to.
