Drexel vs. Holy Family

Published

Hi y'all,

I'm currently trying to decide between Drexel's 11-month ABSN or Holy Family's 14-month ABSN and I'm having so much trouble figuring it out. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on either of the programs, like class sizes, clinical sites, etc. If I went to Drexel I'd be able to live in Philly, which is where most of my friends are. But if I went to Holy Family, I could save money by living at home (plus the program is overall much cheaper). I keep going back and forth and was wondering if anyone had advice for deciding? Just feeling kinda lost tbh.

Hey, I've talked to 3 recent grads of HFU (2018, 2020, and 2021), and all of them had positive feedback on the program. They all enjoyed their clinicals and the overall structure of the program. There are 2 classes to complete each 8 weeks. All of them passed the NCLEX at their first attempt and found a job within 2 months after getting their license. I myself am not in a rush and would rather do 14 month, plus the HFU is cheaper than Drexel, although I have 0 info on that program. In any case, here is my 5 cents.
