Hi! I was recently accepted into two ABSN programs - Drexel ACE (11 months) and Villanova (14 months), and one Masters Entry - Johns Hopkins (18 months). I've been in the workforce in various occupations for 14 years, so I have an understanding of the opportunity cost of both options. I have a previous bachelors in business and masters in school leadership.
While I might be interested in leadership down the road, my short-term goal is to build a foundation of patient care and Western medicine to work in an integrative wellness center. I've developed an interest in Eastern medicine (yoga, breathwork, etc.), and while they are not yet widely adopted in the U.S., I'm interested in incorporating a holistic approach in my future practice.
I know I'm early in the journey, but this feels like a big decision. Does anyone have insight into these programs and these two routes that they'd be willing to share?
