Dorm rooms at the Samuel Merritt

Does any live on campus of the Samuel Merritt college? Do you guys like living there? What are the cons and pros of living there?

any word on this would be very helpful,

Word is that the dorm will only be available one or two more semesters because Summit is going to use that area as an extension of the hospital that's already there...

...BUT depending on your program, it could be convenient for the first semester or two. I think this is particularly the case of the ELMSN program because you spend a lot of time on campus for class for those two initial semesters. Any semester after that might be better spent off campus, depending on where you get to do your clinical rotations... but you can work it out to be useful to stay on campus as well (my suitemate, for example, did most of her clinicals either at Summit, which the dorm is a part of, or at local Oakland hospitals that weren't too far away).

HOWEVER... if you like peace, quiet, clean dishes, etc... you might want to visit the dorms and check them out. While some the residents are older graduate level students, there are still quite a few young ones who are fairly loud on certain nights (particularly weekends) and who don't clean up after themselves when they use the kitchen.
