I was working in Louisiana at the time of my addiction. Nothing happened to get me caught I just decided to go to rehab in Texas and I self reported to both Texas and Louisiana. I am in the Texas TPAPN program for 3 years. When I do a licensure search in Texas it doesn't have any notes and I have never been restricted. However, TPAPN is sending all my reports to the BON in Louisiana and when I do a search on Louisiana's website it has a note that the BON must be called for further information on my license. I should not technically have any restrictions on my LA license since I self-reported and wasn't investigated.
I am tied up in a horrible child custody battle with my ex husband which is a whole other issue altogether, but I have been thinking of relocating to Louisiana. I am wondering if after I am finished with TPAPN will they remove that note on my license online? Will it always be there and will employers be notified about my history for the rest of my career? Does anyone know?
