I don't know about plastic surgeon's office's in particular, but I usually have encountered LPNs, older RNS, or RNs with families working in doctor's offices. I imagine if the surgeon does procedures in office he would have an RN on hand....not sure though.

When I was looking for a job recently I applied to several offices and never heard anything. But then maybe I just didn't fit the profile of the type of person those doctors wanted representing their offices.

a lot depends on the duties required of you in a plastics office. for instance, an independent surgery center would require or skills and experience from their staff. these folks are typically nurses that the doctor(s) have worked with previously, and have a good working rapport. if they use lasers, do you have laser experience? all very critical things...your mileage may vary.

I am to an Lpn student to. I went to beauty school to get my esthetician licence and i did. I only am going for my lpn because i want to work in a plastic surgeons office and perform botox and all the nonsugical procedures. I really Hope that it all works out cause I dont want to do anything else with the nursing but that. I actually hate the fact that I have to even go to nursing school cause im not interested in it at all and in my clinicals im just freaked out with everything. Ive searched and searched and did find that there are specialized courses that as an lpn i can take to perform the procedures like botox, mesothearpy, lasers ect. I'm going to practice in Ny and hopefully it all works out. If anyone can awnser me with this please respond cause im not that confident that as lpn ill get hired cause all i see is rn's doing it.
