Dismissal/withdrawal from CRNA school

Published

Failed my second semester of CRNA school due to personal issue. Does anyone have the same story as me and still be able to become a CRNA.

I'm also wondering if you guys have any advice to get back into CRNA schools. This has been my dream since I can remember.

Please be niceeee ?

Hi there! First, sending you a big hug-- CRNA school is not easy, and having anything going on that makes it any tougher is tough.

The best way for you to try to get back into a program is to work with your current program faculty. Have you spoken to them about what's going on? Some programs offer remediation, some unfortunately do not.

Any future programs you apply to will likely want to know what happened, and having a reference from current faculty will go a long way in helping you to gain acceptance elsewhere.

It is possible to get back into a program, but not necessarily easy.

I have a friend who had to withdraw from a CRNA program and was told it was certain he'd never be able to get into another program, that it's something that just doesn't happen. He had a good connection with one of the faculty who wrote him a great recommendation and he was able to get into a different program. It can be done but I've heard it's difficult.

Zjam76, thank you for the comment. I appreciate that. Do you happen to know where he got into school the second time around.
