Hi, I am a R.N. working in the Paediatrics Department in one of the Hong Kong public hospitals. Due to the accreditation program, we are advised not to use "Milton" as a disinfectant for the feeding utensils (feeding funnel & connection tubings) of Ryle's tube feeding.
Would like to know about other institutions / countries practices. Anyone can help?
Being in another country, you may be talking to deaf ears ... I've never heard of this in the US depts. ... We actually very rarely sanitize anything these days. Almost all of our supplies are one use only items, and then are disposable.
