Are there any sites out there with discharge criterion for diff. Dx???

Problem: I have an AIDS pt. that started with dermatitis and became infected with MRSA in arms, face, and ears. I read that a negative test for MRSA is not what allows a pt. to go home, moreover, it is the decrease of in admitting S/S. Right off the bat Id go with temp. and BP WNL, but what about the lesions/abcesses. What could I say about that? Anything else?

Is the patient going to need dressing changes at home? If so, has the teaching been done, are there supplies available, is a home health nurse set up if he needs it?

Is the patient going to need long term IV antibiotics? If so, does he have a PICC line? Teaching completed? Home health set up?
