Disappointing Teas score

Hi everyone. I just took the teas test and did terrible. I scored a 76% I am applying to the valpo ivy tech this spring. I have all A's in my pre-reqs but i don't think i will get in with that teas score. That gives me a 196 and a 199 with the added 3 points for region. Im just disappointed

You have all A's so they will maybe take that into consideration.

I will be taking the test in september...any advise? did you use the Study guide to help you? What did you feel was the hardest part?

does your school allow you to retake it? thats what i did. even though i only improved my score from an 86.7 to and 87.1! lol but every little bit helps!

Yeah they will let me retake it. Im retesting in a month. The funny thing is that when I was going through the test i really didn't think it was too bad. My score was really low on the spelling. The ATI study guide was really only helpful for me with the earth science part. I knew all of those from reading the section about lava rocks and tectonic plates. The best advise I can give to someone taking it is to make sure if you don't a question move on and if you have extra time go back and then try that question. I had plently of time left so I think I may have rushed through. The english section was harder that I thought it was going to be. Make sure that you know when to use commas and semicolons and things like that. For the math part make sure you review algebra and you know conversions. I scored low on conversions. They want you to know L to ML and I don't think the study guide did a good on explaining that. I know its suppose to be easy but i have a hard time with those.

well just a little piece of advice... its the same exact questions but in a different order. i wish i would have known that when i took it the second time!

No way....the same questions! So Im guessing everyone that takes the teas has the same questions?

yes. same freaking questions. i took it several months apart and two different schools too

Oh wow...were some of them similar to the ones in the teas study guide?

i dont remember, i thought the teas manual was a joke. i got a lot more information from the other nursing entrance exam books i bought from borders.
