Direct-Entry NP- apply as a undergrad?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi everyone,

I am interested in applying to a direct entry np program this fall, mainly Columbia, BC, Yale, MGH, or Northeastern's I was wondering if anyone knew if applying as an undergrad affected your chances? Is it mostly individuals who have already graduated who are applying to these programs? Do they require healthcare experience like PA's?

If its helpful, I have 3.85 gpa, 4.0 major gpa, experience volunteering in hospitals, lots of community service, interned at a nonprofit, research for 2 years (published as a second author and a poster presentation), and have completed A&P 1, statistics (2 semesters) gen chem 1 & 2, orgo 1, developmental psych, and will be completing nutrition in the fall and A & P 2 along with microbio in the spring. I have also taken a bunch of other science classes (cell bio, ecology, general bio, and a bunch of neuroscience courses).

If any one had any idea that would be super helpful to me! I'm just not sure if I should wait a year to be more competitive.
