ok..i know the title asked the difference.....but what i really mean is.......how much more difficult is RN school for those of you who did the LPN adult program in 10 mos ?
i did pretty good in LPN school.....moslty high 80s...low 90s.....ended with 87 and 86 overall.....for me....being 45 at the time, being a stay at home mom for 19yrs,still being a mom and running kids here and there, going on vacations with the family and not having a clue what i was getting myself into...it wasnt all that bad.....passed the boards with minimum questions........the way they threw the material at you was fast and steady....bam bam bam!!
so....for those in RN school now....how does it compare...do you find yourselves ready and maybe abit ahead of the game cause you are a LPN and have gone thru that intense 10 mos....or do i not know what i am getting myself into here???
that was 2 yrs ago...i have completed my 2 pre reqs..now i will be chipping away at the classes...A& P 1 this summer and not sure what in the fall...micro maybe?? thats the way i plan on doing it...chipping away at it...not full time....
any input would be great!

With the exception of the semester I have just started, I've found RN school to be adding depth to what I've already learned in LPN school. Nothing terribly new concept-wise, except maybe some new skills. The semester I'm currently in...well, that's a different story. It's all critical care, which was not covered in my LPN program. Everything is basically brand new, and since my program is accelerated, we've got about two months to get it down. I've never felt the level of stress that I'm currently experiencing! I just can't wait for it to be over
