Has anyone seen any complications in their patients that are taking the "new diet" of injections of b12/lipo or b12/amp? This is a huge market right now and tons of people are lining up at these clinics. However, I haven't heard of any complications, such as with diet pills, with these shots. What do you know? Thanks!

I had a patient 2 years ago who had lipo injections to her abdomen. 2 days later she developed ertheyma, swelling, and severe pain to her lower abdomen. 3 months later, her whole lower abdomen was still swollen, hard and discoloured. She continued to have pain. Not sure of the outcome as shortly afterwards the UK medication regulation authority banned it's use for dissolving fat. (It was not licensed for this use here in the UK - the inserts plainly stated not for SQ use)
Unfortunately despite my numerous conversations with the owner of the clinic (on Harley Street no less) and the doc who administered it, they both wanted to continued to use it. As I was the registered responsible person with the Healthcare commision, I decided to resign. I felt that my Nursing registeration was more important than the two of them making tons of money.
