Development Center transfer to a medical/surgical floor at a hospitral

Hello,

I just finished nursing school and I am considering different jobs and I am down to two choices. A development center for residents with disabilities physically, behaviorally because of brain damage and/or trauma.

I am also considering a position in medical surgical at an acute care hospital.

Honestly, I want to try the development center first and see how I fit in and like the job.

My question is: If I do not like the job at the development center and I decide I want to go to the hospital say 4-6 months later, how will that be generally viewed by the hospital?

If I do not like working at the development center after a few months, will the hospital allow me to go through newbie training? I am concerned that if I work at the development center for a few months and then change my mind and go to the hospital that they may not allow me new employee or new nurse training? I am not sure how it works.
