Dermatology & Aesthetic Medicine Career Advice

Hello Everyone, 

I have been a dental hygienist for the past 12 years and have decided to retire dentistry and pursue my MSN- at Johns Hopkins. My goal is to continue onward for my DNP/FNP and focus in Dermatology & Aesthetic Medicine, Getting as much certification and exposure as possible there's some good fellowships in Miami and Boston as well for Derm NPs.  

 I would like to hear others input on salary and overall position/satisfaction for these particular specialties as an advanced practice nurse.  I know things don't happen overnight and it take work to build skill, experience and practice. 

My main goal is to eventually open up a practice with another provider in NYC or Washington DC and run a derm clinic/ and or med spa or co-own into a plastic practice. Over-all I want Equity in a business and not looking to work for a paycheck at the end of the day. It's been hard to find NPs in derm who actually have ownership in a practice. Would love to connect and talk to any that do!
