Hi, while I can't help solve your problem, I'm really interested in finding out how you go with this. I'm an Australian nursing student graduating November, 2013. I play to return to Texas when I've graduated but I fear I'm not going to have sufficient clinical hours in maternity.
Any information you find would be appreciated.

Similar situation in CA. In CA, there are some schools that are in the planning stages to have the courses, but nothing official yet. It may be the same in TX.
The only way to find out is to expand beyond the local nursing schools. Call all the nursing schools in TX and find out.
Good luck!
Hi,
I came across this today, might be worth contact them to see if they can help as sounds like they've at least got something geared to international students.
Please keep me updated as you progress through this, as I'd love to know how you get on.

I am foreign Registered Nurse with B of nursing for Europe. After doing the evaluation from CGNFSL, they show deficient on mental health nursing subject and clinical hours on maternity. And Texas BON accepted the same and asked me to complete those..Any help in Texas, where to complete those course...I have tried to contact local college here and all are only interested to offer full courses..
