I would like to bounce this off of all of you. It also helps me to write (type) this out as opposed to only talking about it.
I graduate in December. I interviewed for an RN position yesterday. It is in the burn unit, which is my first choice area. I was offered the position and now must make a decision. Here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
--Will participate in a critical care fellowship which rotates through all the CC areas, not just burn
--I am really interested in burn; however, should I prefer a different CC area during the fellowship and a position becomes available, I can switch to that area
--Pay, benefits, are okay
Cons:
--2-year committment--money owed if you leave before then.
--Rotating shifts!!!!
So now what...hmmm

Congratulations! I'd be thrilled with that offer, it sounds so interesting. Good luck with whatever you decide. I graduate in December too and haven't even thought about interviewing for jobs.
The rotating shifts- yuck. That is the biggie, in my opinion. But I think it is great that if you feel that you like a different cc area that you can apply to there. Good luck!
